Default Ipod interface - Solisto

Has anyone tried or know anything about this Solisto IPOD interface from Germany? It says it's compatible with Becker radios that interface with the Becker 7860 CD Changer...and our head unit does...so it should work.

if you have the nav radio, you will already have an aux input, but base radios require some wiring. there is a phone input on base radio, and you can tap into the amp to run your Ipod.

I haven't found an FM trasmitter that is worth a hoot. I gave up and replacing the radio with something that has an auxillary port in front.

in regards to fm transmitters i think the main problem is the crap arial in the back screen. so maybe you should look at a booster. should be able to pick one up at a radio shack cheaply.

I know there is an aux input on the stock NAV radio becuase I'm running a CD player from it...I wan't to hook up an IPOD...and there is nothing available domestically to do that...unless you are aware of an interface available here. Is there such a thing?

You will have to remove the radio...the input plug-in for the CD changer, and presumably other devices like a phatbox, etc., is in the upper rear.

I think the Solisto would work (since it works with many of becker's headunits). Unfortunately the company doesn't ship to North America.

Yes, they will actually. They don't have USA as part of their ordering screens but through a series of e-mails back and forth they assured me they have shipped here and will ship here.
