Default what should i do?

The other day i had a some fruit punch spill, and it got all into the button that lets the windows up and down. Now it sticks when i use it. It also spilled where you change gears. Should i take it to the dealer to get cleaned?

plan A. You might want to get it cleaned or throw in 2 slices of bread and some peanut butter & jelly for lunch !

Plan B. Grab some ants and throw them in !

What were you smoking at the time?

Sorry...given the name I had to do that!

A little warm water with very little fabric detergent could be used to try to clean everything up. It'd probably be best to remove the window switches so you can be sure to clean them good.

You could also use Q-Tips to try to get into the places you cannot reach.

~ spray the switches with wd40... work it in with a soft tooth brush... clicking the switches back-n-forth... this will eliminate the sticking and permanently free the switches without any side effects or harm to the electronics... proven method (& personally used on more than one occasion).

no trip to the dealer needed...

cheers!

I'd spray some (not too much) windex onto the switch and let it sit there for 1 minute then wipe it down with a dry cloth, or even better use a high powered air compressor and blow it out till its dry. I've done this many times and never had a problem with the switches, and they come very clean and no more stickyness.

Just a suggestion..... Listen to Andrew, he knows what he is talking about. I know this from actual experience with him in Carlyle, Pa. last year. He knows his stuff!
