Default ?'s on wiring colors for stock radio

Sup guys, I'm installing a sub and amp in my 2004 crossfire but not upgrading the radio. I'm not looking for anything crazy with my system so I just bought a small amp and 10in sub. Nothing special. Anyways, I'm needing to install a line output converter so that I can hook up the RCA cables from the amp to the stock radio. It's telling me that I need to splice into the right speaker output and the left speaker output. Only problem is, I have no clue which color is which? Does anyone know which color is which? It would help me out a great deal. Thanks.

Do a search. It's been discussed at length lately.

Lots of pictures/diagrams too!

Not being a d**khead or anything but "do a search" could pretty much be the answer to every single question on this forum. Everyone has the internet and can "do a search".

Now...I actually did a search for a whole min and couldn't find anything specific on which wires are which. Everybody is trying to switch to a different headunit. I'm not. If anyone know the colors, it would be appreciated. Thanks.

It's funny, it literally only took a minute to search and find the info he was looking for. I wonder what he searched on?

When I found the info with my first search, I figured that I'd at least give him a clue. With his measly 1 minute search effort, I certainly wasn't going to post the direct link.

I know, and I feel bad for giving him a hard time. But I had to teach my kids long ago to figure it out for themselves. imabenz, I hope you recognize in me a person that lends a hand, but I did show my a$$ there.

Sorry to all.

As an aside, this forum and admin has a very easy to use search that works quite well. Better than most!

Call me retarded or whatever but I did search, and didn't find exactly what I was looking for, and that's when I just posted a new thread. Sorry if I came off as a jerk or something..it's just that I came from another car forum from a while back, and there were always those "guys" who would just automatically jump to the "do a search" comment. Not saying you're one of those "guys", its just that again the place I came from before had a lot of crappy people on there. And there really is only so many questions you can ask just once before it becomes a repeated question. Sorry again if I came off wrong. I'll definately put a lot more time into my search next time, I was just in one of those situations where my car was all torn apart, it was getting late and I had to drive it in the morning for work so I was trying to hurry up and finish. So once more, sorry if it came off really bad, and thanks for the info you all have provided me.

I wouldn't call you retarded, even if you were!

It's just that when I saw the first post you made was a "I don't have the time for this" kinda' request, I saw a little red. When I first joined this forum last September, I spent the first 3 days just reading as much as I could.

And I know you don't have to care, and it is a reason, not an excuse for my poor behavior, but I spend 8 hours a day answering questions from people that (presumably-physics grad students and professors!) have the ability to find information for themselves, but think it's easier to interupt me instead of doing the research.

I guess I just get a bit testy. Old Fart Syndrome?

I apologize.

Now START READING!!!

I just posted the link though I did harbor some uncharitable thoughts.

I have lately found a lot of data consumers but not a lot of reciprocity in terms of relative contribution.

Witness a recent request to get wiring help and then when the person got his problem figured out, "forgot" to capture and share the info with those who helped him get as far as he did.

It does get old and I decided rather than make comments, I'd just ignore further black hole requests from that party... Sad thing that...

I don't anticipate providing any clarification on this one either because the thread referenced pretty much scrapes the bottom of the topic.

And believe me, you ARE considered a "contributer".

Thumbs up, sir.
