Default Euro adaptor problems.

I have a 2005 Crossfire with the factory navigation unit. I am attemting to add XM radio using an FM direct adaptor. I purchased male and female european antenna adaptors. they are Metra brand, model 40-EU10 and 40-EU20. I took the stereo out to add the Fm dierect adaptor But the adaptors will fit neither the stereo or antenna lead. I have looked around this forum and these apear to be the correct adaptors. What gives? Am I doing something wrong, or are the adaptors different for the navi unit?

I have absolutely no knowledge of this type of stuff, but I loved that movie Euro Trip.

Try talking to a local stereo installer and compare what they recommend to what you have. Maybe you received some miss-marked products? Check the Crutchfield site for their recommendations.

I'll try, but there isn't anything local. I drive a truck for a living and haven't had time to get to a shop yet. I bought these from crutchfield. I doubt they are mispackaged. They were packaged seperately, and the two pieces fit each other perfectly. They just don't fit the radio or antenna lead.

They had to have sent something wrong. I ordred mine from crutchfield and used them to add my aftermarket stereo. They worked OK. Have Crutchfield send the correct one.

I just looked on ebay at the back of the non-navi units. These radios are a completely different looking unit than mine. Must be a differeent antenna hookup. Dunno, just gonna have to pull the unit at the stereo shop.
