I don't know - it is different. It looks like a primitive way to put the controls of the iPod up front and center but looks clunky to me.

But then my interior is fairly cluttered so I guess in a way that makes me a hypocrite....

Interesting idea, for sure, but nothing beats have a HU that controls the iPod while the iPod is tucked away in the glove box.

I would worry about whacking the front of the receiver on a quick 2nd to 3rd shift with my manual transmission.

With the SRT suspension, I'd be worried that a decent bump would send the Ipod flying.

Agreed, doesn't look very heavy duty to me.

With the Fusion CA-IP500, you can insert the iPod in the unit.

The head unit's display doesn't look all that great, though.

After being in the car audio business for several years, I offer forum members one piece of advice - stay away from Boss. They always build 'gimicky' products that are quite unique, but usually the quality is not there, and if there is anything motorized, which it appears this one is, stay even further away.
