Well i just bought an 05 Crossfire Roadster on Ebay (9000 miles on it and like NEW)...however i am a Lover of music and was surprised to find out that the model i bought ...Base i am guessing, has NO rear speakers ...a hole for them under the capet panel...but no grill, no wiring either i suppose...haven't dug in that far yet.
Anyone out there that has upgraded and wants to sell there old rear speakers.... i would so appreciate it just pm me and we can work out a fair deal.

Ohh and if anyone has upgraded the stock foglights and they would like to turn loose of the old ones i would be interested. ohh heck while i'm beggin i am looking for the C R O S S F I R E door sills too... man when you buy a car on ebay you really get exactly the bare minimum of extras ...if they didn't pullem themselves.
I am really hooked on the forum here and love my XF even more now that i have such a great community of owners for answers to so many questions.

You should have bought a "Limited" for all the upgrades. It looks like you bought the base model. Don't blame it on eBay. You should know something about what you are about to purchase first.

Actually i think i did say it was a base model but other year base models had the rear speakers...and i don't remember "Blaming" eBay i just stated a fact, as i have bought cars many times through ebay and sold them as well and many sellers strip the cars of the extras and sell them on ebay to increase profit.

I was just hoping someone would help me out with their old speakers and stuff they have upgraded and no longer need, and might want a little extra cash to spend on more new stuff. NOT some high and mighty "cool guy" to berate me for not checking out my purchase further on eBay for a car thats in Michigan, 3000miles away.

There is a great thread in this section about some kicker replacement speakers that are even better than the stock subs you may want to look at that. Also trying looking at the lighted sills, they look great and always get lots of compliments on those. Check out the best bang for the buck speaker mod as well, it doesn't fix the horrible mid bass amplification this head unit makes but helps.

 

I will look for the Kickers ...i think they are made here in OK or used to be...and i am all over eBay lookin for deals on the lit sills ....seen the pix from some of the guys that have em and they look outstanding! oh and i read the Best Bang thread a few days ago and will do that for sure when i get some rear speakers.

Most folks on this forum are pretty good. I do have the original subs you speak of and would be happy to send them your way for a few pesos. I have replaced mine with the 6.5 Kickers and they do kick! but you'll need a good amp to drive them.

No base models have rear speakers. We're all an awesome crowd here, but really, you should have researched a little more and bought a limited as that is what it seems like you wanted, and not a base.

You can find the sills used usually for around $75-100.. a seller 'LKQ ONLINE' parts off crossfires.

 

I actually had a bunch of stuff you were looking for off my previous Crossfire but most of it has since sold. I still have the set of stainless Crossfire door sills for sale here. Take a look and PM me if you're interested in them.

 

I was going to add the kicker 6.5 to the rear but decided to replace the factory speakers (Memphis M Class) in the door and it sounds a lot better. The little subs behind the seat don't add that much bass so you might as well get a 10 or 12 sub instead.

 

Maybe there's a problem with IQ tests because mine is around 158, yet I was supposedly sold a Crossfire Limited and I don't believe I have rear speakers!

I'm going to search for information on how to identify my model as well as the location of the rear speakers, but if someone has the answers and is nice enough to post them in a response, it will save me a lot of time and effort trying to outsmart the forums' search function.

 

Um, what's an IQ, is that sum sort a equalizer or sumthin els.

 

An IQ equalizer, wow you get access to all the neat stuff. Must not be availiable here in Canada.

 

Well after much research i think i am gonna go with a powered sub box i saw in Crutchfield, as i found out the base model isn't even prewired for those stock speakers and i would have to add an amp as well. PITA...

As for the other "stuff" ...all in good time...hell i just bought this wonderfull car and in less than 2 weeks i have spent more than i wish to admit. (CAI, Custom Shift ****, Mats, Car Cover, Tag, Tax, Title) ohh crap i'm addicted!,
