The Metra brand antenna adaptor that Crutchfield sends out with its radio purchases does not have the provision for the amplified antenna like the one you displayed.
The Crutcfield tech instructed me to be sure to attach the pink wire from the car's harness to the blue anntenna wire on the Schosse VW harness. He insisted the antenna amplification was built into the car and was essential for proper reception.
Did you use an antenna adaptor like the one pictured and did it work?
