Default Illumination Lead

Hi All,

I just installed a Pioneer DEHP840MP (matches excellent!) and it has an "Illumination" lead on the head unit. Does anyone know where I should connect this illumination lead.

TIA,
John

Hi Thanks!, That was exactly what I was looking for. I saw that Blue Gray lead on the harness side, I even suspected that might be it, but my connector (not metra or scosche) did not have a lead for it and I did not see it on any of the previous instructions given here.

Now to figure out how to add a pin into my connector, hmmm, Maybe I can steal one of the unused speaker wire pins and move it to the blue gray location.

John

PS. I also lost my ability to turn on the radio with the ignition off and I __think__ the speed sensitive volume. Two features I really liked.

If you have a base, yes, you did lose your speed sensitive volume in addition to being able to turn in on with the ignition off. If you have a limited, you still have the SSV.
