Default My radio is haunted

06 Crossfire with stock infinity radio.
No matter what station I set after a few seconds it changes stations.
Keeps going back to that same darn station.
Yes, tried using the manual button.
My radio is haunted.
Considering disconnecting the battery to clear the system.
Will this work?
Please give an idea how to make my radio ghost free.

Mine does this every once in a while, maybe twice a month. I would definitely try pulling the battery and see if that clears it.

It can be set to do this with Auto Tune - check how you have it set up. I accidently had mine doing this where it stayed on channel for about 30 secs then carried on searching and so on, usually ending up on same channel! Once I got it set back to normal, no probs

Maybe this radio has its own favorite station and does not care for your taste in music.
Seriously, if the station it prefers is set on one of the pre-set buttons, clear it and replace it with your favorite.
At least you will get the station you prefer.

Funny replies are always welcome.
I know about the auto tune mode and tried manual override.
Tried programming another station in that preset. No help.
Even changed from FM1 to FM2- Still goes to the same station after 5 to 30 seconds.
It's a good station with mixed soft rock but I want my Oldies!
The other day it abandoned "pipeline" at the very best part and started playing Song Sung Blue. Yuck.

I'll try disconnecting the battery.
If that doesn't work I'll TAZE IT.

Then I'll have a radio with a speech impediment.
