Default JVC radio mount

Hey guys ive had a crossfire for about 2 years love the car, but tired of using CDs and pulled the JVC stereo from my 240sx,that hasa USB port on it...wired everything up with a metra wiring harness, but the metal sleeve that is supposed to hold the radio in place wont stay in place in the slot for the cd player. Ive pushed down on all the tabs while the sleeve is in place and they wont move. anyone else run across this/.

Got an alpine but no issues with the sleeve, the bottom prongs do most of the work on mine. I think I remember reading that someone folded the prongs at the top up (ones with the slot) that line up with the 2 screw holes right above the radio, then screwed through both using the existing screws. Not 100% on that but may be worth a look.

May be an option but I think most of them are pretty much the same. My radio isn't fully cliped in so I can prob slide it out and get a shot of mine for comparison. Might want to take it out and then bend the prongs a little (doesn't take much just a little curve) then put it back in, it should kind of click into place once the prongs get passed the lip.
