CD Player Stops

Hi...looking for some fix suggestions. My factory stereo has a problem. After 10 mins or so the cd player stops playing, reads "STOP" and switches to FM radio. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you need a replacement...

mine has hardly ever worked right, and now kaput altogether. Loading, then says stop and nighty-night. I'll get a replacement after market sooner or later, but right now it doesn't bug me enough to warrant it.

Are you guys certain your CDs are in good condition?

When this unit skips for longer periods of time or hits a large scuff on the CD, it will literally just quit, read stop and go to the FM radio.

May want to check your older CDs to make sure the surface is still good, our players are kind of picky
