Default Possible new Head Unit??

Title says it all, and I've been debating replacing the stock unit for a while now. In your opinions, is it worth it to replace it and go with something like this JVC? This thing seems to have both the looks I like, and the features as well. Question is, is it usable to begin with for our cars?

What do you think guys and girls.

It's usable ... as usual opinions will vary. Breaking it out to four channel input to the amp is worth the extra time and effort IMHO.
Just do yourself a favor and read through the MANY threads on the subject. I'm a fan of speaker outputs... others prefer the RCA.
This has plenty of volts for that way too.

"if" you have any thoughts of maybe later adding a separate bass setup.. I'd go ahead and jack into the rca - sub outs with my RCA cable and just coil it up around by the amp till needed. "capped off" of course to prevent any shorts.

As much as I would love to swap out my existing head unit, replacing it with a new one screams"break into my car and tear it out" in my neck of the woods.

Dont temp me, because that sounds like an awesome idea right now lol

Anyway, I looked up reviews for the unit, and people liked it. It has really good audio streaming apparently, and very easy to navigate compared to other. Plus I think it looks better than most other head units out there. It looks sleek

EDIT: HOLY HELL, amazon has it for 50 bucks off right now too! check it out!

I just installed an ALPINE CDE-SXM145BT yesterday. The only hard part was the Sirusxm antenna. The system has all the functions that I want.

I still have yet to find a headunit that matches the silver trim and looks stock-ish. I really want to keep the look as stock as possible just to not have to deal with people looking at the radio unit too closely if you know what i mean.

I installed a Power Acoustik unit PD-718NB this spring and am very happy with it. I was obsessed about getting a unit that had the following: Bluetooth, GPS, SD Card for music, and decent sound.

It had to look good though and I think this unit looks like it belongs in our car. I will post some pictures soon so you can judge for yourself if I have accomplished that. It also offered a mark improvement in the sound quality.
