Default Where did you mount your XM face plate??

Hey, i was wondering if anyone can tell me where they mounted their XM Commander controller (face plate) I was thinking of taking out my cup holder and mounting it there. I'm just looking to see what other people have done for more ideas. Thanks

I pulled out the old receiver and installed a complete new one that had the satellite included into the receiver. Work great?

I just picked up that same unit for Christmas. I was worried about where to put it, and my brothers wanted to mount it near the knee bolster. I wasnt a fan of that or of having any type of destructive install. How is it when driving. Can you see the unit while driving or is the angle too harsh? Would you mind posting how you ran the wires around the cabin too? My other option is mounting it inside the the center glove box.

I'm not quite sure how the wires were run, one of my buddies who does that kind of stuff did it for me. All i know is that he unscrewed a couple of screws to lift the console where the cup holder is located, removed the cup holder, ran the cables through the console, he said there was plenty of room. He dropped the XM receiver right down where our shifter is located, bundled up with the cables for the radio, and he said that area had plenty of room too.

Has anyone done this to a convertible? Where did you mount the antenna?

I mounted mine on the left side of the steering wheel, directly above the left air vent. Looks great, and it is easy to see.
