Default amp placement in hatch

Looking for pics of amp placement in the hatch area. Did some searches in this section and the photos section, but the searches come back with so many threads that are not relevant. Any pics of your installs?

Anyone know how far down you can safely screw into the bulk head to mount an amp in the back hatch? Any dos and donts of this? Suggestions for alternatives?

Thanks all!

Suggestion : I bought a kit years ago that came with a insertion tool and various sizes of rivet-like studs that are internally threaded.
You drill the appropriate sized hole ( with a drill stop mounted to the bit ), pop these suckers in and you are good to go.
HINT: make very sure you know EXACTLY where to drill the holes !! )

A little history : I got this kit so I could cut a section out of the floor in my Suburban that allows me access to the gas tank fuel pump and level sensor. ( Try dropping a 40 gallon tank ).
I cut the section out with a metal blade jigsaw riding on 2/4 sections so the blade didn't go too deep, replaced what I needed to, then cut a plate that overlapped the hole by 1" on all sides. With the kit, I inserted the studs, then mounted the plate using a rubber gasket.

Can you give me a "HINT" as to how far down i can safely drill into the bulk head with out hitting the gas tank?

looks like 17-18 screws and you can remove the cover for mounting the amp ....
just make sure whatever mounts it does not protrude too far on the tank side.

Thanks 180!!! So the top pic is that a metal shield covering the tank? Is the bottom pic showing the shield removed? How thick is this shield? Is there any space between the tank and this shield?
