Well I am at the tail end of my stereo upgrade having successfully installed an aftermarket head unit, 4 channel Jl amp and component speakers in the doors. All went well. BUT ran into one snag:

When I went to hook up the subwoofers to the aftermarket amp I found that each subwoofer has four wires. Having done my research on this forum I come to find that this because the rear subs are dual coil speakers---hence, four dedicated wires for each woofer.

But I do not want to get the polarity screwed up. So, I need to know which colored wires go to each subwoofer. I have read where forum members identified the wires by their pin location. But I need to identify the wires by their colors so I can figure out which positives wires and which negative wires go to EACH woofer.

If someone else can suggest an easier way that I get the wiring and polarity correct for the two subs I am open to whatever guidance provided. Right now I have to do it by the color of the wires

 

The wire colors are spec'ed in the Service Manual. That's where I got the info to do mine.

Not sure where this goes, but I can say unequivocally that the wire colors in my car did not match the service manual on my late 2008.
