Do I have to disconnect the battery?
I am taking on replacing my radio and front door speakers. I have a Kenwood KMR-D358 from Crutchfield and the instructions say to disconnect the negative terminal. Is this a suggestion or a requirement? If it's a requirement can someone point me to a "how to" if there is one?
They are referring to disconnecting the negative battery terminal
Open the hood and go to the passenger side
Disconnect the (-) negative terminal (the one on the right) as shown in this photo.
It is probably not a requirement but it is probably a good idea when doing anything with the electronics on a Crossfire

So I have to open the hood? Is there a "how to" for that?
Thank you very much, that's exactly what I needed to know... until I get stuck, and then I'll be back.

The "How To" is in your owners manual "Hood Release". I sure hope this is a joke. If you can't open the hood then you probably shouldn't be installing your radio & speakers yourself.

Saw this coming a mile away. Pathetic Ahole
Yes,I was joking about the hood. Maybe I should have said "jk" or
. But, I really appreciate all the help people are willing to give me and other pathetic Aholes on this board
Well, lol, I took it as a joke anyway...you need to do this so you don't accidentally unhook a door air bag and get a dreaded light, that you will not be able to shut off until a trip to the dealership. So, unhook the negative and do your install....happy, happy, happy...
