So I have been looking for an aftermarket headunit that would look very close to stock. I went with Clarion M502.


It looks more stock than the stock one. The Clarion head unit has the "spine bulge" in the middle just like the whole car! Obviously it is silver and it matches the rest of the interior.


Installation was pretty good.

Couple caveats to look out for:
1) There is a lot of wiring in the back of the m502. You'have to cut some of the unnecessary wires off in order to make the headunit fit.
2) The Scosche VW01B adapter wiring is not straightforward - some of the colors won't match your aftermarket head unit colors. Look it up in the forums. Tons of writeups.
3) If you pass the usb/aux wires to the glowbox, the glowbox lid will become slightly crooked
