Finally got around to this project too. Sony with apple car play and I installed a back up camera. Some of the fitment is a little poor.
That looks OK, at least you have finished it. I spent hours getting the parts to fit and one area still bugs me and I have lots of experience with a file from years back in my toolmaking days, it takes practice. I started mine at the end of 2017, I now have two variations. I have one problem left and that is the colour of paint to use, well two problems really but laziness cannot be cured so easily. The Covid shut down did not help, that’s one of my excuses, even my wife has picked up on the slow progress and prodded me on it.
Can you please tell me what paint you used, I have about six cans of paint, two made specifically for the job and I do not like either match.
The match you have in the photos looks great.

I only painted the small bezel around the radio, I got a pretty good match. The face of it is textured, the smooth sides ate a very good color match. I think the texture causes a little shadowing making it look slightly darker. The bezel is for VW but I had to narrow the top to get it in but now there is too much gap at the bottom. I have a 12” stationary sander so taking material off is pretty easy. I will make a new bezel out of acrylic or ABS later. Someone said in an earlier post that Testers silver chrome was a “perfect match” so I bought some but it was too dark, I found Testers Extreme Lacquer in Diamond Dust color and that is what I used. It’s lacquer, it dries almost immediately so dust, runs and handling are not problems.
I got the bezels from AOZ Parts, I don’t know if they are still in business, the website is up but I never got a reply to my last inquiry thru the site. the upper bezels were not great fits but with making some shims and adding screws behind the bezels I got them acceptable. The bezel around the shifter was another story. It was made way too flat, you can see in the photo the center is too low and doesn’t reach the switch bezel in the center. The rear of the shifter bezel was so flat that it rested on the center point and the sides were way high causing gaps. I had to Run screws thru from the top sides to pull them down. I used chrome washer head trim screws but I am really unhappy about that.
I think I will remove the new shifter bezel and reinstall the original bezel with an aftermarket cigar lighter or just delete the lighter, the new radio has two USB inputs so maybe I don’t even need the lighter.
Decided to put the original shifter bezel back in. It had a scratch on the left side so I drilled it there and installed the air bag light. The old bezel doesn’t match up real well with the new switch bezel but it still fits far better than the AOZ bezel.Hey, I got my picture in the radio.
