Jan Sydney Australia Cruise Video
Hi Everyone
3 Crossfires had a little cruise in January this year and I have put a small video together of the day. We headed south from Sydney along the coast towards Wollongong. Great day with Bodog (Red XF) and Rainefab (Silver XF Roadster) and my Silver Coupe.
I see a lot of political posts lately. Let's get back to the basics, we love our cars....
Enjoy.... Chrysler Crossfire Cruz Australia on Vimeo

I guess I will find out first hand what it's like.
Just remember their speed signs are in Kilometers, so don't do 100 miles an hour when you see the 100 signs. Thats about 60km/h over the speed limit you would probably have an excuse though....
I would let you off, only coz I know ya

How about Saturday thr 24th April or 1 May?
and where do you want to go? - North, South or West?
All suggestions considered
We've got Scott and me signed up already - lets get a record breaking 4 Crossfires (at least!)

I would love to head for a lap around Mount Panarama, would be quite a jaunt for a day though. I have done it before though not in the crossfire, nice drive once you get over the Blue Mountains. Just need to pick a weekend when there is no racing, and the moth plague has gone.
We should do a Newcastle Run at some stage as well, my home town. I will take more video next time...
I will speak to the social organiser and get back to you about the date. Either seems fine at the moment.
Cheers

Hi Bazzer
Yep that was to Valk. I stand corrected. I am sure I heard on Top Gear where they were talking about a trip they were on being so many kilometres, therefor I assumed they would measure the speed in KmPH. Maybe everyone should just follow Australia's lead and make everything metric.
Word of warning if any of you come to Australia we are all in KmPH. Speed ranges for 40km school zones 50km residential, 60 km residential arterial, 70km join roads between arterials, with limited residential, 80km highway/main roads where there is a Freeway alternative, 100km Highways for no freeway alternative and 110km for freeways, this is general observation as I don't think the RTA have any idea why they put in speed zones. The speed can change at any time along a road and I have seen three different speed changes in one line of site with fixed digital speed cameras just to catch the unwary.
I think there is an unlimited speed limit still in central Australia, though they are going to get rid of it, if not already as too many Ferrari drives were wrapping themselves around hapless Kangaroos.
Cheers

Motorway speed limit here in Ontario is 100kph. you can get away with 120kph if it is safely done most times. But 150kph gets you a large fine, costs and demerit points plus the car is towed away for a while. Do not think of having one too many drinks on top of that.
Cars are safer now than they ever were and we have more nanny rules placed on us than we want or need.

When the M1 Motorway opened back in the days of black & white television, there was no speed limit.

Great video! Nice to see Crossfires in Oz. We've wanted to meet up with other owners for social drives but there are so few of us in Queensland. We took a trip to Armidale last September and folk in the town would just stop and stare at the Roadster. We're back there again this September for a school reunion so if you think there is an opportunity to get together let us know.
