Default Heated Seats

Does anyone know how to fix the heated seats ion the drivers side. I think the seat cushion heater is broken, and I'd prefer to fix it myself if possible, the heater in the back cushion is fine and works, just not the seat cushion. Any advice would be great.

I would like to know this as well. Considering other posts with nightmare dealership experiences I'd like to hear from some do it yourselfers. Thanks!

Mine went out last year.
The problem on mine, and I assume others because the dealer knew exactly what to do, was a bad wiring loom - just a simple piece with plugs on both ends - no splicing or anything. Had it done under warranty.
Somebody on the forum has done a great write up of fitting after-market/off the shelf seat warmers. Try doing a search for that.

Apparently this is a known issue. Do a search and you'll find lots of post about this.

My driver side seat was also out. After wringing my hands about it I let the dealer fix it. I told him I was worried about them pulling the upholstery off and replacing the heat element. I was not going to be happy if it didn't look perfect when I came back for it. I mentioned that in Texas we have so little cold that I would forgo it working if it was going to look bad.

To their credit it looked absolutely perfect! Everything matched. Now I'm certainly glad I did it.
