Default Hello from Alberta

Hello everyone. I just bought my black 05 Crossfire and discovered this site. I thought I would say hello.
I love my car. It was a Chrysler Exe. car untill november of 07 and then they put it on the lot the middle of December when I bought it. 19000 km.
Since a Chrysler Executive drove it and put so few km`s on it, the warranty started the day I bought it. They even thru in the extended warenty.
Only had the car for a few weeks but WOW... do I love it. Everyone says it`s my mid-life crisis car but hey.... I`m ok with that...lol!
I have read a few threads here and no doubt will be asking a few questions over the next while.

Look foreward to chatting with you all.

Todd

Hello, Todd;
From Ontario!...I am on my second crossfire. Was one of the first to drive a '04 coupe (white) late in 2003 so I really got a lot of attention back then....no one knew what it was....was always being 'boxed in' on the highways with everyone slowing down around me taking a good look.
Now 4 wonderful years later ....just picked up my '06 convertible!(white)
I love the car that much! Don't need/want anything bigger - this is just the size for me!...let someone else drive the SUV's and truck around 'stuff' had enough of that over the years....now no one can ask me to cargo anything!
Looking forward to summer to put the top down! Have fun with yours!
Brenda

Hi Todd

Nice to have you join!

I guess that my driving season will be a little longer here in Kelowna

If you come to Canada's California for a summer break let me know.

Cheers!

P.S Big White is enjoying awesome ski conditions.

Welcome!
Glad to have you and many other new members.
It looks like many of us are taking advantage of the current pricing of a GREAT car.

Welcome to the XF family. Enjoy the ride in a great set of wheels. Mine has been in the garage for the past 10 weeks. This past Sunday happened to be a sunny day. The roads were clear of salt due to the rain we had a few days before. So took the XF for a good run. It ran like a top. Unfortunatly the snow came again so it is back in hibernation.

Welcome to the Forum. As long as the roads are dry and free of Snow I am driving my XF. With our warm Chinook winds that blow in 2 or 3 times per month I am able to drive it a lot.

Hey . . . count me in on the Going to the Sun road run !!! Love that road - even better in the Crossfire !!! Mine is 04 Alabaster Limited Coupe, 6spd !!! I am a Mopar guy from WAYYY back, love the OLD cars, but REALLY LOVE the new ones !!! Took the XF to Los Angeles last year, total of $250.00 for fuel - ROUND TRIP !!!! Gotta love that !!!! . . .

Cheers

Mark

PS - yes winter is killing me too, everytime I get in my Magnum R/T HEMI, All Wheel Drive - parked next to the Crossfire in the garage - but the XF is under the car cover waiting patiently for those warm wonderfull days !!

OK!!! road will be open mid june , drifts are great for sking, but 100 ft deep is to much even for a hummer! I will start an other thread to see what response we can get, in the meantime I plan on spending a weekend in Waterton@ the Kilmorry Lodge, probably in mid April. Blasting down 22 south of Longview has been my favorite drive since 1978, yup they where 4x4 day's then but now its paved I love it even more, and the RCMP are never seen.

Sandgrounder . . . yup, gotta love hiway 22 between Calgary and Crowsnest Pass !!! Best way to get there is to head south of Calgary on hiway 2 and then turn west just on south side of Nanton (hiway 533). . . . miss Longview and the slowdown for the school zone/town.

Sort of had fun with the XF last summer, coming back up 22 . . . hit 230km/h !!! FUN FUN FUN !!! Early am, no traffic and ZOOM !!!

I was on another trip, heading back north on 22 one time (in company mini-van) and heading south were approximately 14 cars - Ferrari, Lambos, etc. . . . . they MUST have been moving at over 200km/h !!! Was totally cool to see them WHIZ by and hear the engine sound ! Tingles up the spine !!!! Guess the "club" had decided an early am trip was the way to go - it was approximately 6am !

Hi Toddski.

That's so cool that they threw in the extended warranty. I believe a Chrysler exec drove my car, too. It's such a fun car to drive!

I live in Calgary Alberta Canada.
Recently got my 2007 Crossfire Ltd. with just 3,100 km. on it Christmas 2011.

Original owner bought it new in 2009 and just drove it about 1,000 km. each summer and then stored it.
He even did 3 oil changes after each summer in that short period of time.
It currently has 8,500 km./5,300 miles.

Can't wait to drive it from Calgary to Vancouver over the mountains this summer.
