Default Attention All Regina XFire Owners

There can't be many of us....it would be fun to all meet one day, share stories, tips, etc. Some evening or weekend all showing up in one place. Anyone interested? I'd appreciate hearing from fellow Xfire owners.

Hi Ted,

Thanks for the reply. I was beginning to think I was the only Xfire owner in Regina. Actually I have seen a black, white, silver and yellow convertabile.
When you get your Xfire we should meet up.

Hi Randy
Just joined the forum after buying a new '07 roadster from Triple 7 - it was nice of them to store it in their showroom for me for 2 or 3 years. I have been a fan of old Mopar muscle cars for years, but my interests are widening out with the purchase of the Xfire. I traded a 300C so it is quite a change, but my wife and I are both enjoying the purchase. The weather has been exceptional for November, but I've only been brave enough to put the top down once, so next spring can't come soon enough.
Let me know if you plan a get together when the weather improves. Perhaps there will be additional response to your email by then.
Garth

Hi Garth...nice to hear from you. So what color is yours? I'll watch for ya when I'm out and about. I'l be putting the winter boots on soon. I will occasionally take it out this winter, without the winter boots it will not move on the slightest icy spot or incline. The Blizzacks are amazing. I'll be driving my Explorer most of the time otherwise.

Stay in touch. My regular email address is nrandy58@yahoo.ca

Looking forward to meeting you.

Hi Randy
Ours is black. Like you, we have another vehicle which is much better in snow and ice (Grand Cherokee) The 300C was not a good in winter conditions and I expect that the Crossfire will be rather useless with the factory rubber. At this time I do not plan to purchase winter tires so it will likely be parked within the next few weeks. Did you purchase a set of wheels for your Blizzacks or do you just switch tires? From what I have heard, winter tires in the original sizes are very expensive - did you purchase yours locally? Thanks.

HI Guys:

My Crossfire has been parked for a couple of weeks now. I don't plan to drive it in winter.

I was also curious when you mentioned blizzacks Randy. It's hard enough finding regular tires let alone winter tires.

fyi. I had the 'fogged headlight' problem. Crestview replaced both headlights on warranty. I was pleased.

Garth.. I think I test drove your car.

Hi Garth,
I bought an extra set of rims through this forum for a couple hundred bucks. They're not perfect but not bad either for use in the winter. The bizzacks I sourced through ebay $500.00 for the pair (rear) not bad considering they're almost that each here. I didn't need blizzacks for the front and are using the original Conti's...for now. Haven't switched them over yet.

My other toy is a 1980 all Black, Volvo Bertone with Mustang 5.0l. You may have seen it...or more likely heard it . It's definately parked in the garage for the winter.

Take care...we'll have to hook up one of these days.

,Randy

Hi Don,

It appears there is (3) of us in Regina...we can start our own club I know there are more than three of us just don't know who the rest are. Anyway, I find ebay the best place for tires. I have purchased a number of sets of NEW tires for my Volvo, 17" tires all (4) for less than $500.00 delivered and including exchange and have never had any problems with transactions. the blixzzacks, while not cheap...were fair less than we would pay here.

I'll have to check on the fogged lights as mine are fogging. Thanks!

Take care,
Randy

And then there was four.... hi all. Ive got one of the black ones '04 coupe....

Actually I think there are a least four, maybe five black xfires (not including Garth's roadster) around town.

One is always around City Hall, the other is always up by the Sherwood Village Mall and Ive seen at least two others during the summer.

I aquired mine in the fall of 08 and have parked it last two winters. Looking forward to getting it on the road once I can see all of the potholes to avoid them.

Does anyone have a preferred service dealer...... I am wondering if it is better to have the mercedes dealer do the work or just have chrysler take care of it (most of my dealings have been with crestview)

Mark

Hi Mark. I just pulled my Crossfire out of storage last week.

I've had a bit of work done by Crestview and I was pleased.

We keep saying it.. but we really have to do a get together this spring.

Hi Guys,

I've had mine out this winter and am driving it fairly regular these past few weeks. I'll be taking off the winter boots likely early April. Then I've got to do a good cleaning after the winter accumulation and then we must plan a get together.

Thanks all for the insights on service. Taking mine out of storage this weekend. Should have it serviced and on the road next week as long as the snow stays away
