Just came across this & I'd like to be added. We venture down to other parts of the world from time to time - and Kingston, Picton, etc. are definitely within reach. Family members in Cayuga, etc. as well. If we can meet up at any time at any of your GTG's at all, I'd like to be part of the list.
Thanks
Ottawa John
Great to have you on the S.O.C.O. list here : https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...tml#post574745

Would you consider joining us at this awesome show on June 4th ???
https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...-june-4th.html

Please post on that thread if you can make it. We already have 21 Crossfires attending so it will be the largest GTG in Canada to date.

Thanks Spark -
I wanted to go to London - but I've been reminded of a wedding that I'm going to on the 4th. I'll need to keep a closer watch on the forum for other events. This one in London looks like a lot of fun.
Regards
John

We've talked about an Eastern Ontario meet, so if there's enough S.O.C.O. members interested we'll have to try to get something going.
Let us know if you are aware of any special places or events that we could converge. Belleville, Picton, Wellington have been thrown around as possibilities.

Hey Spark -
Belleville, Picton, etc. is one of our favourite places to go - especially in the summer. Suzanne & I are going to be in Picton the week of July 18th for a few days.
The entire area is known as "The County" - Prince Edward County. That's from below Belleville - the south side of The Bay of Quinte and taking in the entire area. Not a lot of twisties and hills, but nice two lane country roads. Lots of wineries, antique shops, and relaxed living. Plus Sand Banks Provincial Park - kind of a small version of Ipperwash or The Pinery.
Whay type of events are you looking for? Picton has started developing some Jazz and Blues clubs from what I understand, and there seems to be frequent car shows and rides on weekends.
Someone else had mentionned some good roads north of Perth, and there are some great rides through that area. I used to ride a motorcycle, and we never tired of these areas for twisties and hills.
Thanks again, Spark - let me know what you're interested in.
John

Hi from Frankford, On. on the banks of the Trent River! You can add "Nala125" to the SOCO list. We're always interested in meeting other Crossfire owners for a summertime gtg.

I have been noticing a bunch of "southern ontario" locations appearing in screen names and have yet to make a post. Feel free to tell us your location so we can stop hunting you down when we pass you on the hwy

Post your general location and maybe some info about your car so we can deciper who's car we see!

I'm not aware of any meets this way, but I'm up to some if you know others in our area. Prescott isn't too far and there are some great places throughout the area - we often hit Merrickville for a nice afternoon.
Ours also is a roadster & summer only use.
Post your location and it will make it easy to find you.

I suppose I could try contacting the locals here. Can you do the same up your end?

I just filled some of my profile. Next will be a pic of my car.

I just found out that this car had a cab air filter. Just took it out and by the looks of it, It might have been the first time removed.

Check the second post of this thread - there are a few uf us listed for eastern Ontario - not many - but we're here. Get yourself registered as well. Let's see where this will take us.
I see that you joined the forum in July - I'm still pretty new myself, but the forum is great for the help that it gives. Have you had the car long?

Yes, I see 3 more members from the Ottawa area. I could start a new thread under "eastern Ontario". What is involved in registering?

I bought the car june 11th from a lad in Brantford, on. The car needed some attention. It was summer driven only as well. First thing I did was balancing the tires. Second, adjust the windows to stop the wind noise. Also, the rear hatch latch was improperly adjusted, only latching in the first position. Third, I did an oil change. Sure has a neat oil filter arrangement. The darn thing swallowed just about 8L of oil. I am not using synthetic, not sure if that's ok? I reset the maintenance reminder but I am tempted to do another oil change before that 11000km comes around. What do you think?

Just last week, an american couple approached me while parking at a local restaurant. They had recently purchased an 05 blue roadster. We had a 15 min chat about our cars. We both agreed that the roadster is the better looking car. I have seen a cream colored roadster in my area a few times. What's the story behind your Roadster?
