Default Universal Socket Set at Crappy Tire

Crappy Tire has the Maximum Universal Socket set on sale for $39.99 until Thursday of next week.

This is a great buy and if you haven't got a set this is your chance. The sockets fits the Star, hex and spline heads. The bits fit Torx, Phillips, Robertson etc.

The sockets allow the bolt to pass through the whole socket and ratchet wrench.

A well made set all in a neat little case.

Mention Crossfireforum.org and they'll give it to you for $39.99 plus GST.

This set would be good for an "emergency repair", but I wouldn't count on them to do much, especially if the fasteners are tight. Been there, done that...

True but we play with cars, we don't earn a living working on them. These handle those funny foreign fasteners with ease and we use our real tools when we get serious.

Personally I find that that four or five hammers of varying sizes can handle most jobs with ease.

Nick, I ended up picking up a set in Grimsby, CTC had about a dozen on the shelf. So, if you don't get a set you can borrow mine. Sept 10th is up in the air, on-going reno's at home have most of my weekends tied up but will make it to Woodward and Dragon. See you there!

I jest, I have enough tools to put many mechanics to shame.

A life times collection, includes tools from father and grandfathers. I think my computer savvy son will dump them.

I am a tool geek, my name should be Tim.

I'm gonna run up and try to scoop a set, too! It's taken me this long to save the $40 bucks after having spent all my loot on Nick's Crossfire attire ...

Hey, I saw a very nice looking red roadster on Hwy 12 near Waubaushene last night at about 7pm. Anyone know who's up that way with one?

Good call, Dave. I managed to get the last one at my local store. They search high and low and found it on a top shelf behind some other stuff. It's a nice little set. Thanks for the tip!

I was looking at a Fat Max set at CTC and it did not have the Star sockets in it, just hex sockets.
