Cool Need a Cover for the ABS wire bundle

my 2005 Crossfire Convertible was imported from Miami and when they did the conversion for the daytime running lights they never re-installed the plastic covers and they are now lost. I could buy all but the covers but the one that goes on the ABS wire unit assembly.

I am including a few pics...

I had a Mercedes dealer look it up, no luck...
I had a Chrysler dealer look it up, no luck
I am waiting for another Chrysler dealer to get back to me...
I have found an aftermarket part specialist that promised me results, but no results as of yet...

Please let me know if there is a better way to do this search...

Thanks

Newbie to Crossfire

Just bought the car a few weeks ago to resell, my lovely wife that has never liked any cars I brought home, like porsche 911,
celica gt trd (auto), 350Z, bmw Z3, Z4, XK8 etc...

BUT she has informed me that this car will be HERS, as the has fallen in love wit it, "it is like a purse and I have shoes to go with this car" she says....

There was a few things wrong on it, the guy that owned it before me was NOT really a mechanic, the car was driven on dirt roads, the rear window was unglued, I used Marine JB weld to glue it back to together.

the bolt from the Tension-er pulley fell off just after the 16 hours drive to bring it home, lucky me... it didn't happen in transit.

the car was dirty inside and outside, the cabin air filter was full of pine needles as well, a sign of sleeping outside all winter....

the front wheel bearings were loose, it was missing the 2 panels in front of the wheels to access the fog lights that are used for the Daytime running lights...

the key was messed up, got a new one, it is missing random seals and small rubber bumper inside the engine bay,

the engine compartment was dusty like he lived on a back road in northern Quebec with no pavement, I had to pressure wash the engine bay 3 times. LOL

apart from all that the car is coming along nicely, the windshield has a a rock hit right in the field of vision....

But the price was acceptable.... I am mechanically inclined and have a space in my garage to keep it in after I use it.

You can have the one off my car, I don't have abs anymore. $10 including shipping. PM me if you want it.

I just went out and looked at this part. The cover is not just a cover. It also locks the harness to the ABS unit(been a couple years since I removed the ABS). I'll have to look at the FSM to see how to properly remove it.

Conversion to DRL's has nothing to do with this part going missing. All that is required is swapping the headlamp switch/model for a CDN spec unit.

Agreed, this part is a hinged locking lever, nothing to do with headlights. I noticed in your pic that there has been some modification to the wiring(black electrical tape). Might want to have that checked out. Also it looks like it was broken off from what I can tell from my harness.

I know but they used the Fog lights for the Daytime Running lights. so they took the access panels off in front of the wheels off and turfed them, and the cover for the abs wires is missing too.. :-(

the panels in front of the wheels are 49.99 each at Dodge, I got them for 35 each. I use to be a mechanic, so I always hit for the wholesale, the guys at my local Dodge Chrysler Dealer are great, nice bunch of fellows...

You may be eligible for a replacement convertible top from Chrysler. Do a search in "Roadsters"!

By the way-nice choice!

Mine broke while trying to remove it. I see now that the cover has to be almost closed in order for it to unsnap without breaking. It's the only position the sliders on each side will release when the hinge is unsnapped.

I will follow up with you. Pulled one today, pull up fully on top latch lock, unclip from bottom and rotate cover up till it will come out of the recess on the connector plug.

I did well on it . no joke....
Thank god i got it for a great price...

she will split the total cost, i mean after all the fixes are done..

Cannot go wrong on this one.

I was gonna get a 2005 350 black slk but I cannot really afford to lose too many bays in my garage. with all the other toys, LOL

the crossfire makes quite a show here in Halifax NS, I have not seen another one yet.

I know there was a black one for sale this spring about 4 hours south of Halifax, but not seen one in person as long as I can remember in the area, the main supply of convertibles went south to USA, there are a few coupe, and they look nice too, but like the Z3 coupe, they don't have the same curb appeal as a convertible.

I have not located a cover as of yet...

Still on the look out and awaiting for one to be offered, I have a few prospects on the go, I hope.... :-)

I love Halifax. Worked down there on several events/shows etc. Last one was the G7 Summit in '97 . I believe. What a great party town.

Enjoy the car and forum.
