I stay in Harrisburg and make the 15 or so minute drive into the show. There is usually rooms here. My hotel is on front street.

 

OK guys...we really need the big push now. It's almost June and we know there are some other XF owners out there who can be convinced to join us. So go twist some arms, bribes, promises (not to be kept) and lets see what we can do to reach the 32 mark or higher.

RED/ANDREW - do we need to talk about the tent/food/other at this point for the event?

As I did last year...I paid the $150 for the Tent earlier this year when I pre-registered.
Last year I kept it a secret but the word got out and many of the folks contributed to the expense.
We didn't get the 25 Members last year so our tent was not free THIS year!
BUT, since we should pass the "25 Member" required target THIS year...the tent will be furnished free NEXT YEAR!!!
Remember 25 Members Registered THIS YEAR gets us FREE TENT NEXT YEAR and on and on and on!!!
As far as food...everyone is on their own.
Some like to "Brown Bag"...
Some like to do their "Porto-B-B-Q...
Some just like the Boardwalk fries, etc from Carlisle...
Bring what YOU like...
OH YES!!! Don't forget, it's NON-ALCOHOLIC drinks...

I've been involved with other car shows, but this is my first XFire show. Is there some type of agenda, plans, etc.??? Meet and Greet on Friday night at the hotel. Meet Saturday morning and cruise over to the fairgrounds, what time or is this fairly casual, just wondering.

If you need money to help with the tent or anything else, let me know, glad to pitch in and help.

 

we are planning on dinner plans friday evening... i will see if i can get a name of a decent local place... how about around 7:30??

Andy, the Maryland crew arrived at the show around 8 am last year and you guys were there just afterwards.

Suggested Event Hook-up.

Friday - Meet up at a central location for all those in town to schedule Saturday morning's Drive-In to the Show's Grounds. EVERYONE CAN MEET UP AROUND 8 AM AT THE AUTO ZONE (I forgot the street name but I know it's on the corner down the street from the Ground's entrance).

Saturday - XF Dinner at an agreed upon location after Saturday's strong XF showing. Cruise Downtown Carlisle after dinner (We can go down to the movie theater/mall lot from the show grounds and just let the locals gawk at our XFs). Maybe get a friendly card game going after the cruise.

Sunday - bask in the glow of our XFs and bid farewells.

 

Lets get the list in the ALL REGISTERED column, time is running out!!!

Pass the word to everyone you know AND SEE!!!

Stop by your local Dealership, they might want to go for publicity for their Sales Department.

Don't forget to let me know if you are going to Cruiz' with the VIPERS on Saturday!!!

ATTENTION VIRGINIANS AND MARYLANDERS!!! (others too).
As noted, for the last few years I have met with the VIPER Club and made my entrance with them at Carlisle. Last year Sennaspirit and TS04Crossfire joined the run also.
I have contacted Ron (Good Friend/VIPER Owner/X-XFR Owner) and as soon as I get this year's meet time I will post it.

In the PAST we have met at the Urbana Exit off I-270 (South of Frederick, MD) @ 6 AM and cruised in from there on Saturday of the meet. We arrive at Carlisle @ 7:45!!

I will be checking specifics on the Restaurant that is located at the Exit this weekend and will confirm their hours. We could meet early and have breakfast before we leave.

Don't worry...we can "Hang" to 155 MPH...then it's all over...
Actually I don't think we really ever got over 85 MPH, either of the first two years. Last year I think we broke "Three Digits" once.
Anyone desiring to join, Let me know.
Remember, as soon as I know I WILL POST Specifics.

I didn't see this until danimal mentioned it to me via PM. Put me in as tentative for now. That's a weekend my son will be with me and I'll have to see if he is up for a road trip. Sounds like a blast to me though! It'd be really cool to see (and be part of) a whole line of Crossfires! If we do go, I'd definitely be up for the Crossfire/Viper cruise in to the show. How fun would that be!?
