2004 Coupe auto with 374 miles - $14k
Holy smokes, this is what I don't understand, basically someone threw away over $25,000 to buy that car. Since they never drove it, if they put the purchase price in the back back then, they would have over $40,000, possibly a lot more if invested properly. So they get $14,000 instead and never had the joy of driving the car.
These cars come on wheels, not pedestals, drive and enjoy them. Then again I acknowledge that there are people with enough spare cash to have stuff to look at, and store them, so it might not matter to them. If someone only drives it in the summer, and local stuff, I get that, but to store a new car and do nothing to it but watch your money go away, not me. That is how my '67 El Camino is. I think it is done depreciating ;-) and it will never be a big buck rare classic, but I enjoy it when it is appropriate.
Just noticed this has free shipping. Out of curiosity I put in a Washington state zip code and it still said free shipping, but dropped the tax and other fees off. I have never seen this at a dealership before.
Clever of you to post notice of the sale, Jocko124, since you bought it!

Amazing find, and welcome back to the Crossfire family.
P.S. - We're clearly also graphite fans!

Thank you. According to the dealership the original owner had bought 2 of these in '04 in hopes of the value increasing. The other one had 2006 miles on it and just sold!
That was my guess a while back. So they waited until they were worth the least and then dumped them. Man, they must have lost $70,000 on those purchases, maybe more with storage. Then again, maybe they have a 100 or more cars...
It's amazing to me that in this day and age anyone would believe that a production vehicle would go up in value in any reasonable period of time. I remember when the Miata first came out and folks were buying and storing them---that did not work out too well either.
When these babies first hit the showroom in late 2003 they were getting 10k over sticker in the Detroit area. By April of 2004, when I purchased my coupe, they were 5k under sticker. The slide continued from there👮
