SRT6 Central NJ, Buyer Beware
SRT6 Central NJ, Buyer Beware
I've been looking for a SRT6 for a couple months and stumbled onto one in NJ. I contacted the owner and
got fed the normal stuff about how great the car was. Being a non trusting person I looked a little deeper and
got a Carfax.
Seems my "clean" title was really a washed title that looked clean. The car went between 5 states in the NE and finally
North Carolina returned the title w/o the salvage warning. Also was told the car had 125K miles, according to the car fax
the last reported mileage was 141K back in 2015. The price on the car isn't too bad at $7K...
So guys beware of vin 1C3AN79NX5X038237.

$10K is about the most reasonable a minimum and that's for a coupe.
I know it is self interest but, if you are looking, I have one in the cars for sale threads that right now is a steal.
SRT Roadster Unmolested.

Thank you for taking the time to post this. Too few people do.
Shopping on a site like this and buying from a forum member is usually your best bet. Good luck with your hunt.
Re: SRT6 Central NJ, Buyer Beware
I’m glad to report on scams like this, goes to show doing your homework can pay off.
For me forums, carfax and research need to be done. I had the tendency to buy from my heart rather then my head and really got burned a couple of times.
I currently have a SLK320 that I really like, just want more power and a faster shifting trans. I’m looking for either a SRT6, SLK32 AMG or a SLK55 AMG.. The hunt is half the fun! One in need of work would be right down my ally.

Re: SRT6 Central NJ, Buyer Beware
There are some fine SRT6s on this site and there is this I recently came across:
https://nashville.craigslist.org/cto...496979688.html
Not local to me but a fine sounding vehicle.

I know a guy that has a VERY nice garage queen with 6,155 miles on it that has been thinking about selling it because of life changes over the last 8 years, but he's going to want an arm and a leg for it . A (little self interest here like Franc Rauscher) , I'm not on here much, but will probably post it in a few months.
