I think i read 21,000 + but just looked and found in March 2006 6200+ any way we are way below that all we need is enough to win the car of the month.

The votes amount continues on each month, so until they restart from zero the vote count will continue to rise.
As the count rises it will be harder to get the amount of votes high enough to win when the candidate starts from way behind.
