Angry Why me???

So every night for the last two years, the crossfire has been in the garage (except when there's too much ice to get up the driveway).

My wife and I are looking to sell the house, so we cleaned out the basement and ended up filling the garage with trash and "garage sale" junk, so I had to park on the street. (If you wanna buy my house in Pittsburgh, http://viehland.org/house )

Then at 11:00 at night some idiot lady in a Taurus slammed into my car head on while it was parked! There was no other traffic, no one parked on the other side of the street, nothing! She just came across the road and jacked up my car! Then she had the nerve to ask the cops who was going to pay for fixing her car since she only has liability insurance! Who cares b*, your taurus is a P.O.S. and you just ruined my Crossfire!

http://viehland.org/car/1.jpg Does My Alignment look a bit off here?
http://viehland.org/car/2.jpg I don't think the tire is supposed ot be that far back, is it?
http://viehland.org/car/3.jpg Um, I'm not even sure what that is that broke off....
http://viehland.org/car/4.jpg Can you see the skid mark of how far she moved my car when she hit it?

Mind you, the speed limit on my street is 25! The impact moved my car over 3 feet and after she "Bounced" off my car, she traveled at least 30 feet further before her car stopped moving - both her airbags deployed, tire flattened, fender smashed, etc. I hope she can't get her car fixed and she has to walk for a year!

Darn... Why me?

I'm so sorry that happened. That's horrible, and it sounds like that lady was a real snob. I hope your car is fixed up well soon.

The house looks amazing though, if I had the money I would definitely love to live there, but I'm stuck paying off my car for the rest of my life.

The Pittsburgh housing market is cheap and we priced the house to sell. My wife got a big time job in the NJ State Gov and we have to relocate. If I wasn't rushed, I might get $150 for it. More than that and it would never sell in this neighborhood. All the houses around me are similar in detail and run $110-130.

The dealership here does wonders though. A woman rear-ended me a year ago and they replaced the bumper and exhaust system and you could never tell anything had happened. I hope they can do the same here. I'm more worried that the damage, even when fixed by the dealer, will affect the worth of the car in the long run.

It Looks fixable, just make sure the shop is qualified to work on it.
The bad news is it will probably take some time to get the parts.
I really hate people some times.
A friend of mine stopped by a few weeks ago and parked on my street, someone side swiped his whole car...
The bad news was they took off, He got stuck paying the $1,000 deductible.

He is afraid to come visit me now...lol so I leave the drive way for him.
Good luck and remember keeping open communication with your body shop and letting them know how you value your car is key to having it done right.
It should not be this way but sometime it is. They should fix them all the same but trust me...They don't.

If it is done right it, it won't effect the value of the car.

~ that is the (black hard plastic) jack mounting contact pad ... lying upside down...

...it came out of the underside of the rocker panel just behind the front tire.

I hope you do not have the same luck I did in the shop, Brian.

The house is 70 years old. It truly was a kinder gentler world they lived in back then. People actually waited their turn.

By the way Brian V, the house looks great. I'm really sorry to hear about your accident. I only live about 2 hours from you. Good Luck with the repairs, and the sale of your house.
