Default Left front tire rubs

I just found out that if I cut the wheels to the right all the way and back out of my driveway which has a steep climb to the road the left front tire rubs something. It doesn't do it going forward. I put it on the lift and did a good visual but didn’t see anyplace it rubbed. Anybody else experienced this?

Are you sure that it is the tire rubbing and not the front dragging (if the driveway is that steep)? Maybe you are looking in the wrong place. Just a thought since you found no indication of a rub.

Darn good point! I don't think so but it is possible. I'll have to look.

here is a picture of the area "in front of the tire"...after over 2 years of running eibach springs... it only rubs in reverse under a slight bind while at near full lock. lowered or not... this may be an issue... its even semi close in oem form.

Wayne did you eat too many pizza's during the winter ? LOL

I was trying to find some previous posts with photos of the wheel rub spots on my car, but it seems the forum software update has made them disappear. They could be where andrew's are, or forward and inboard, inside the wheel well. Nothing to worry about though, usually only happens when you're making a hard cut turn in reverse and rubs on a spot that is rounded inside the well.

Too funny...I was going to post a question on this very same thing. My used SRT has the EXACT same marks on each side!

My question is: How hard of a bounce on turned wheels do you have to experience to get this? I am not interested in repeating this to see what it takes, but I am interested if it is that easy to do or not...

...and...why can some people post pics and some cannot?...I am one of those who cannot...

Heck yes, pizza, ice cream, cookies, cake... anything that won't eat me first!

After planting my big fat arss in the seat and backing out of the driveway I have plenty clearance under the car. So the car isn't rubbing the ground.

Come to think of it... it only rubs when the wife is in the car. Oh crap we don’t need to go there! Ha

I’m going to put it back on the lift this weekend and look closely for some evidence.

That's probably where it's rubbing but I don't see any marks yet. Thanks for the pic.
