Default Dad's been modding

Well my dad decided to start modding. He bought chrome handle surroundings, rear diffusers, illuminated door sills and WHEEELS. Soon he's getting a front lip... Enjoy.

is it me... or is the offset on the rear rim way off ?? it appears to be very recessed.

Off to a good start!
I would look into moving the rear wheels out too.
A chrome grille might look good with the wheels...

I have that rear Mopar diffuser and I like it better black but different strokes.

I also have ordered this week the chrome door handle surrounds and chrome rings.

Next week the Startech front spoiler baby. So yeah, nice to see the Alabaster guys are leading the way!

By the way how about some side shots to show off the chrome door handle surrounds.

I'll take some pics for you guys once the Startech goodies get here!

edit: What ever you do tell him to get the Eibach springs, they make a HUGE difference!

~ yeah... i agree. i like it in factory flat black as well.

that white tow hook doesn't help though. i painted mine black... the underside now blends and flows/looks better imo.

the thing i would do when buying aftermarket rims... research them enough to get the correct offset from the manufacture in order to eliminate the need for spacers. pushing the wheels out close to the fender thru the offset.

springs... that's a real need.

Although the wheel style is AWESOME, the offset is WAAAAAAY off, get those things swapped out ASAP! BTW, a set of the rocker stripes will look good one that white car and I'm sure someone can match up the cedar pretty well. I'm having mine done very soon. There's pics of them here, I just can't remember the guys name, but they look very good IMO. They go towards the rear of the rocker and are 'Saleen-style".

I'm waiting to see what Andrew does next to his car so I can copy...uh...er...I mean EMULATE.

I tried the stripes (same color to match the wheels) like FormerNXMX5 and took them off. Just didn't work for me with the Alabaster IMO. They do look very good on the Graphite though.

Yea i don't get the wheel things, i went with him to order them. They ordered the TSW's because that company already had the correct dimensions for a xfire. SO my dad was like ok its better then ordering random rims and offsets. I'm gonna convince him to get springs, but he knows he needs spacers.

Andrew, O.K. ... when you complete your lease... bequeath those clear front marker lenses to Fritzauf. So I can carry on in STYLE. This car is a keeper in my stable. I couldn't bring myself to give her back. HOOKED!

04WRBwrx, PLEASE... Update your signature...The Crossfire in not white... it's Alabaster. Much cooler. Thanks!

Fritz... out...

If you could find out what the offsets on the wheels your dad bought were that would help me out a lot, i'm planning on buying some TSW thruxtons in 20s and 19s with a 35mm offset which i think is correct, but if i can learn from a simple mistake made by your father it would help me out and put me ahead of the game...thanks for any help!

~ i would return the rims for the correct sizing. you shouldn't have to spend more money for spacers... tsw sold your dad the wrong goods imo.

this is what they should look like from the side profile (offset wise).

Well... after much talk with my dad, he's ordering a new set of rear wheels. These are going to have the "right" offset, and allow the wheels to have a 2.5" lip. I looked everything up, the back wheels they sent him were just bigger versions of the front.

He hated how they didn't stick out, so off we go to get more wheels.

Oh an FYI, this is like his 3rd set, he just got the car back because the 2 left side wheels were almost egg shaped... haha.
