Default Question about radio

My radio as in the fm and AM parts only, seem to be real shi**y. I don't know if this is a general crossfire issue or just mine. Basically as an examples, 610 WIP in Philly is all fuzzy and ****, but in all the other cars like my dads '99 altima, or moms '04 corolla, they are crystal clear. Same goes with FM, 96.5 for example is always fuzzy and picking up other stations. In all the other cars its perfect. Its getting really annoying because there are the 2 stations i always listen to. Does any one else have these problems?? Or should I take it to my shi**y service dealer to try and get something done?

Mine is the same way, had a stock replacement stereo put in, same thing. Buy a new head unit with ipod interface and you will be soooooo much happier.

Which head unit do you use, I need the model. Is it just a simple switch of head units. Also i don't need the ipod interface, if there is one you know of that doesn't have it.

When I had the metallic window tint put in my car, it killed the AM reception. The FM works fine though.

You may have an antenna issue causing your poor AM reception.

You could buy the antenna from a vert and install it. That would solve your problems.

Hello,

I have the same problem as you. I had the new improved radio (got rid of the display problem) installed and still very bad AM reception. Sometimes is very bad and sometimes is not so bad. I had the dealer check the antenna module and the glass mounted antenna said all fine. He even checked another Crossfire on the lot and the same problem, said not much they can do. Interesting item, when I turn off the ignition the radio seems to clear up a bit. I hope someone has some ideas on this matter. I will e-mail Chrysler about this problem since the car is still under warranty.
