head lamp codes

does anyone know what the difference between the 2 headlamps that are available from chrysler?

Are you referring to the bulbs or the actual headlamp unit?

the actual head lamp. i went to a dealer site and they listed 2 front head lamp styles with about $20 dollars difference.

Your Dealer has no knowledge of this car, most don't. There is only one headlamp unit for our cars. Try another dealer, they are on Ebay from time to time.

My online source does show two headlight assemblies...

Code 8DE @ $473
Code YAB @ $485

The difference?, I don't have a clue.

If you look up the headlights in Chrysler's CD (Aug '05), listed are 5 rights and 5 lefts. According to the CD, YAB & 8DE are sales code for export (non North America), this makes sense because, left and right hand drive is listed under both.

I have listed the part numbers shown.

2004-05 5097524AA (YAB) Right, left hand drive
2004-05 5097525AA (YAB) Left, left hand drive
2004-05 5097523AA (YAB) Left, right hand drive
2004-05 5097526AA (YAB) Right, right hand drive

2004 5097527AA (8DE) Right, left hand drive
2004 5097528AA (8DE) Left, left hand drive
2004 5097529AA (8DE) Left, right hand drive
2004 5097530AA (8DE) Right, right hand drive

2004-05 5097994AA Right, right hand drive
2004-05 5097995AA Left, right hand drive
