For those that followed me on my wheel choice dilemma. Here is the end result. The chrome windshield trim is on it's way. The chrome side fins are done. This winter the door handles get removed and sent out to be chromed. Then I think I will be done.

And debadged.

The wheels look great. You made the right decision. Classy choice.

Awesome wheels. I don't see that you've replaced your brake pads with low dust Rotex Golds. I have factory chrome wheels on my 300m and I'm disgusted with how they look after a few days driving...especially following a rain.

If you don't mind me asking about how much did it cost to have the wheels chromed, I really like the way they look and I really saw any aftermarket that I really liked. I think I may have to pick up another spare set of rims and do the same thing to my current rims since they have a few nicks already.

$699 for a chrome exchange. Even includes center caps and new emblems. Shipping was $110 and they charged a refundable core deposit of $400 until they get the old ones back. They sent me theirs chromed first and then I had them swapped then reboxed my old ones and UPS came and picked them up. Super easy.

Info is:
The Chrome Wheel Co.
Bob Morris (great guy)
954.427.3201
I highly recommend him. Tell him Steve from Connecticut sent you. He will take good care of you.

I decided to go with chrome OEM also. I paid a little more but it was in driving distance and they also changed them out at no-charge. I get a lot of comments on them.

Really nice and we share the same exterior color (I have the cedar interior). BTW, where is the antenna for your Sat Radio located and what head are you using?

steve...

for nine months now... i've been wondering what i would replace my rims with... when i do, without a doubt... i am taking your route!

In my opinion... your XF is now one of the sharpest out there... outstanding!

How long did the chrome procedure take for the rims...

thanks

josh

I also have the chromed OEMs and I love them. Nothing else chromed at this point, but I'd love to have the side strakes chromed. Anyway, nice!!

I got mine on Ebay so I still have the originals which I suppose I need to sell. One wheel (the originals) have a small nick about 1/2 inch long. Was there when I purchased the car.

Looks good I like the stock wheels the best too! Great choice. Do you need new CUSTOM emblems ? Only $30 for front and rear!

Antenna is on the pass side fender. Oh, and I have been married for 16 years, no head for me.

Josh, thanks for comments. I ordered the rims and had them in three days. Then I sent my old ones back to them. They have a great "swap" program.
Great company to deal with. Call Bob Morris. Great guy.

Hey Carl, at least you get to see how your car would look before you do it. I think that was the hardest part.

I've wanted these for a long time but the only thing is that they look a bit too shiny and a bit too chromey? No?
