OK... DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS PROBLEM? AS THE REAR HATCH CLOSES IT SLOWWWLY RUBS THE PAINT OFF AT CONTACT?

WHAT YEAR IS YOUR COUPE? DC OBVIOUSLY KNOWS OF IT SINCE THEY HAVE BEGUN CORRECTIVE MEASURES...

ONE DEALER TOLD ME THAT I MUST BE ***SLAMMING*** IT SHUT... NEEDLESS TO SAY THEY WERE "2" DEALERS AGO!

ALSO LOOK OUT FOR THE RUST SPOT(S) THAT I'VE NOTICED MONTHS BACK...

SEE THREAD::: https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...highlight=RUST
RUST SPOTS

I REPORTED IT TO THE DEALER "FOR THE RECORD" HOWEVER I HAVENT BROUGHT IT IN TO RECTIFY IT YET...

exactly the same. maybe the problem are some ingredients in the rubber itself (that stuff that makes the rubber soft, I do not know the english term, softener?). this might be too aggressive for the paint. some of you might know the problem from older model kits (cars). the rubber made tires were able to melt down the plastic rims because of that stuff.

I have it too, not a problem, just the way it is...
If it bothers you touch up and put some thick clear vinyl on it.

Mine came with felt bumpers on the paint...they lasted about three washes, and peeled off. I use the fuzzy side of a velco strip with double sided automotive trim tape and replace it about every other month as it starts to peel from washing. No paint problems so far. And, the indentations from the bumpers is hardly noticeable.

You folks think that is an issue, I'm afraid to tell you to look behind your seats where they make contact with the rear bulkhead... it is not a pretty sight... hooah

I will make a picture or two tomorrow and post on this thread...

I wax that area every month. I've had the car for a year, build date was a year prior and NO problem in that area, guess I'm lucky. It's also garage kept which goes a long way in keeping moisture off the car.

I adjusted my bumpers due to noises. I thought it was the wing, but after the adjustment ... silence. I too wax and polish that area ... the bumper marks don't show up.
