Default Dr. Z and the 2007 Crossfire

I just received my answer from Dr. Z about the arrival of the 2007 models in local dealerships...

Thanks for contacting Dr. Z. Your message has been forwarded to us for response.

At this time, DaimlerChrysler has not released any information
indicating a production time for the 2007 Chrysler Crossfire models. We
encourage you to stay in contact with us through the Chrysler website
(www.chrysler.com) or stay in contact with your local Chrysler dealer regarding
the most up-to-date product information for the 2007 Chrysler Crossfire.

Has anyone else heard about this??

IMO, DC will have a 2007 Crossfire available before the end of the year. My thinking on this is that they have contracted with Karmann for a pre-determined number of cars and that total hasn't yet been produced. It will be very expensive for them to get out of it. Most if not all of the '05 and '06 will be gone by then, thanks to big incentives. Hopefully, by now. they should have a better understanding of the Coupe and Roadster market and will not flood it with too many cars. This may be wishful thinking and time will tell us if they have learned to match availability to consumer demand...

I think it's a boilerplate answer. I asked about the ME412, and got the same answer word for word. Model names changed of course.
