Default Speakers

Hi all,

Just noticed my crossfire has speakers behind the seats. But they don't work, are these an extra from the dealers? How hard are they to fit?

If you have the Infinity sound system, those are the subs. All you will hear from them is bass. No highs, just bass, which is a smart idea. What's the point of shooting mids and highs into the back of a seat? They are more effective as subs.

If you mean installed behind the seats they are subs.
Standard equipment for 2004, and limited models for 2005, 2006.

I believe that they are subs. But I have had my ear to them and nothing is coming out.

As everyone pointed out, they are sub-woofers. To see if they are working, put on some rap music (or anything with bass) and crank it up. Then put your hand on the woofer and see if you feel anything. If you don't feel the air pushing or vibration, that means your subs are not working properly.

Billy1, No disrespect was intended. I simply was saying in essence that if you were not able to hear the low, lows of the sub-woofers, that maybe you would be able to hear the very high pitch frequency of a silent dog whistle.
We had a young Brit stay with us for a few months last year, and he didn't get my sense of humor either. By the way...welcome to the forum.
Now you will have to excuse me, I've got to hit the head.

You haven't offended me. Us brits can be a bit slow at times. Different countries, different humor.
