Default Air Intake

Anyone have an air intake like the one offered on Ebay?
I was tempted to bid on it, but thought I see if anyone has any experience with the product and the company.

~ its a hot air sucker... but sure sounds faster. i would guess you will lose hp.

but acrispy1... has a set and likes it...

i just think the tubes need to be longer in order for the intake to pull cold air from the lower front area of the engine compartment.

There is no way on earth that you will get "12+ power" with this. In addition your car will suck more air in with the stock set up, because the faster you drive the more air goes in the xfire ram intake. You will under perform with less air and its much warmer air too. I suggest that if you want to alter the intake get a super e-ram set up!

more air = more fuel = more hp

It is still going threw the original air box so I don't see how it will improve air flow much.
I made my own with 3" piping and relocated the maf. See here.

Thank you.
I put some thought into it.
I plan on opening up the hole in the rad support to funnel more cooler air to the engine bay along with a heat shield.
Just need free time.

Great Job...Professional install. When do you plan on getting some track numbers? Also...is it louder or just different tone?

Thanks.

Rather than open up the hole, just remove the whole piece.
I've done this on mine. LH side is easy - Rh side is not.
There's two plastic 'rivets' - pull the center out, and the whole rivet will come out.
I think there is also a screw.
Once you have undone all these, you may need to undo the screw which holds a pipe in place which is in front of the radiator. This will let you flex the pipe so the plastic air intake will slide out.
You may need to remove the top screw which holds the plastic bumper cover in place - then you cn flex the bumper.
Seeng as though you only have one air intake, you do not need to bother with removing the RH side.

Thanks.
It is louder than stock obviously and I think it sounds great.
I took it to atco raceway in NJ.
I ran .2 faster than stock with the intake and magnaflow muffler.
14.98 - 15.12 consistently between 6 runs.
Only broke into the 14's once (14.98) and was not able to do it again so when people ask I say it runs 15's.
If I can get .1 more consistently I can tell people "Yea it runs in the 14's".
14.99 is still 14's.
I plan on getting the ecu done also, it is not the money it is the down time as this is my ride to work.
Thanks for the kind words.
