I was thinking the very same thing. That little after market 10" wide 1" tall hood scoop must add a tremendous amount of H.P.
But then we have to remember it's on a Ford dealers used car lot now, so let the "fish" stories begin.

 

Lets see that dyno. Sounds like BS to me.

 

If you look at the photos on the dealer posting (namely, the interior shot), it looks like there might be Nitrous on this car (two wires and buttons next to the shifter). Thats probably how they got the power up to 350. I wouldn't want to drive this with the six speed. There must be a pretty damned good reason why DC never put the manual transmission in the SRT-6, probably because it wasn't designed to take that kind of power or torque without ripping apart.

 

Actually someone posted here a while ago that the 6 spd was good for 400 hp, but I don't know about the torque though. NOS on the Crossfire would be badas* and surprise EVERYONE.

 

250 hp. no way 350 unless it has nos!
No computer and filter can make that much power.
Intake +10 hp max (and this is being nice)
Computer reprogram +10 hp max.
Lets think with our heads.
I would love to have 350 hp in my limited but it aint going to happen without nos or some kind of forced induction.
That does not mean you should not make upgrades just be reasonable with what you expect.

 

without nos or supercharger from Renntech Kleeman Brabus, or a company of that level, i don't see how anywhere near that is possible on the crossfire.

 

well if the person put nitrous on it ... and a chip ... chances are that motors internals has seen daylight and it is for sale after the cheapest repair possible was performed on it ...

the chip advances timing to a point where the shot of nitrous (over 100 hp shot) it would have required to get to 350 whp would have been very likely enough to detonate the thing till a new window emerged in the block...

hopefully its just a bad lie and it really is just a NA chipped xf that has not seen this kind of destruction ...

 

Somebody is on crack... Why would the car be taken in on trade with only 1,200 miles ? Second, I'm sure these guys can't dyno a Crossfire. Third even if they could, NOS generating 350 hp in this engine for a dyno run would destroy it !

PS I think the chromed OEM wheels look goofy... Just my humble opinion !!!

 

Nobody should be looking at that one, mine is the one people want to buy. Help me clear some garage space.

I can pretty much guarantee that the hole for that hood scoop was made by a rod flying through the hood.

Hey I got NOS and I bought everything that has come across this forum and I don't have 350 HP. No one has been able to get a good dyno done (we have talked about this a lot).

actually they was a successful dyno, but as far as him having 350 hp...a chip gives maybe 10 intake and exhaust maybe 5, and i'm assuming he doesn't have a nos shot at more than 75, so 350...

 

Ok so I picked up 10 Kilowatts with the new exhaust and 17 Kilowatts with the powerchip gold or 187 KW puts me at 247 HP.

SRT 247 KW or 326 HP that's a big nos shot!!
