Shift Knob

I've been looking around for a shift knob for my auto-stick. The XF does not have a push button to shift from Parking. My question is than, should I be able to buy a knob that's made for a stick? Has anyone done this? Here's one of the knobs I'm looking at.

I believe you are correct...I think the bottom part of the shift knob unscrews and then there should be a set screw holding the knob on. I could be wrong, but any manual shift knob with the same inner diameter should work. That MOMO knob looks nice.

FPMartinez,

To change the knob on the autostick (not sure if it is the same on the manual) unscrew the ring on the bottom of the knob, let is slide down on the shaft an pull the knob off (straight up). The problem with most aftermarket knobs is that they do not let the shaft penetrate far enough. As a result the replacement sits about two inches higher (totally unacceptable).

You might want to do an eBay search for replacement knobs for an SLK. I got one for my SRT that is Walnut and black with an AMG plate but there are many others.
