Question Shift **** Survey

Survey; Which of the following do you like best: L - R 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5?
I assume that for 4, I will need to keep the base/bottom part of the XF's ****?

E none of the above. I actually really like the stock one, but if you like one of these go for it and be different.

Agree with Thirteendog, a little to busy for my taste. I too am very happy with the stock shifter. But then again its not us you have to make happy.

I like #1 and 3, but I've seen some that I like even better than those 4... I really like this one...

Add me to the "I like the stock **** best" list. Especially here in south Florida where the sun can turn a shift **** into branding iron, the plastic stock shifter never gets too hot to handle.

Yep, I appreciate the comments on keeping it simple. I personally don't like accessories that make the car too busy, but the stock **** blends right into the aluminum trim. There's no contrast. If the head was leather to match the seats, I would like it, but it's all one color.

I'm with Patpur and Midnightman, I happen to like the "feel" of the stock shifter ****. I do have to admit though, my hand has slipped off of it a couple of times when I was in too much of a hurry. But then mines a manual.
#3 looks alot like the head of a microphone, but it does look like it would be the least likely to slip out of your hand.

I apologize for the mix up of the pictures, but in an attempt to edit this, I shuffled them around.

What I'd like to have is a shifter that was more straight up when I have it in drive. I find that in drive the level leans back just a bit to far and my arm is bent back while resting on the console and my hand on the shifter. Plus the level is at like a 30 or so degree angle and my hand is only on the top. If anyone has a suggestion of a brand that would help correct this, please post the info or link.

Thanks.

I guess since you added one more I must choose F for None of the above instead of E. They all look like they would be ok, but I just hope you don't go with the Eight Ball or the Skull shifters. Now, that would be Whack.

That's actually another of the reasons why I like it best. Along with the continuation of the "spine" through it.

All my previous cars had a leather shift **** that had no real visual association to the rest of the interior, so changing those didn't change the theme. This is not the case with the Crossfire. In fact, I don't know of ANY other car that has the unique feature of a truly matching shift ****.

But this is just my opinion. I have no problem with anyone that feels otherwise. To each, their own.

I like the stock one also but if I had to choose one I'd pick number one.

If you've got an automatic it's a transmission mode selector and you can do what you please with it.

On a manual it's a shifter **** and it works and looks just fine.
