Default New 2006 Crossfires

I had some warranty work done on my crossfire and when I picked it up the next day they had a 2006 crossfire on their lot. The owner said he had 3 but has sold 2 of them. He also said that there was a huge lot of crossfires and mercedes sitting together at the port in Baltimore. Has anyone seen any 2006 crossfires at any dealers?

no '06 crossfires were imported to the US.

it must have been a left over '05.

maybe... just maybe an '07. but that is still up in the air... as if any will show up for sale in the US for the '07 model year.

Go to www.chrysler.com , find a dealer at zip code 20784, go to Darcars Chrysler Jeep in Carollton MD, search on 2006 Crossfire and there it is.

What's the build # on vin??
That may give clue. My understanding
is no Xf's were built in '06. They were
burning off '05 inventory. The balance
they shipped back to Europe...

You can check it out. It's above 61000. By the way '06s were built, but not imported to the US, only Europe and Asia where I understand sell well.
Does anyone know how many '04 and '05 were sold in the US?

VIN:1C3AN65L66X061241 is the VIN number.

I don't remember where everything is located, but yes, the sticker on the website says it's '06...

I spoke to a dealer yesterday about an 05' SRT6 and she said they are expecting 06's soon. I told her what I had heard about 06's and 07's from the forum and she said she had heard similar stories until recently when they were told to expect some 06's. I also recently noticed that Chrysler added 06' Crossfires to the model selection for the inventory search on their website. About a month ago 05' was the only search option for Crossfires.

I just called Chrysler today to ask them about the '06 Crossfire and why it is now listed on their website...Their response: "We have no information to release about the 2006 Crossfire or 2007 Crossfire"...WORTHLESS.

Its definitely an '06, the 10th digit in the vin is the year.

there really isn't anything different about an '06 crossfire versus an '05 crossfire, is there?

There was one difference I can remember. They were
going to color match the frame around the windshield.
If car is black, frame would be black vs silver.

The one's being sold now are late 2006 (66 plates).

FP, nice find on ebay. I wonder what the reserve is?
I picked up my SRT6 Roadster from North Dakota, I'm in AZ.
I've had over a year. Picked up about a year ago for $35.5.
It had 1,500 miles on it though. I would expect he has
a reserve of about $34k...

I'd prefer the silver though, maybe that's just me. Gives it more of a unique look.

you have to look at the date of manufacture located on the drivers door, it has nothing to do with the date of registration.
my '06 plate was registered over here in the uk 1 june 2006 but the date of manufacture is aug 2005 and a production no of 083110.
and i changed the registration to an earlier one "cro5fre".

I'm new to your forum - I found a small print ad for a Buffalo multi-car dealer "new cars at used car prices" and found an '06 Crossfire. I went to the dealer, they said that they were the only dealer in western NY to get them and they're at a dock in NJ. I spoke with the manager who said that he got a large incentive and would be getting 2 or 3 black base models, each with 6 speeds, and would be passing it on to the customer. I gave him a small deposit and it's supposed to be in this week. Simmons Rockwell near Corning had 3 in stock (a huge off - lease car sales place) - I drove there yesterday to see if I like the car and if I fit in it. The one I drove (2005) had 1,000 miles on it and they were asking $18,900. They had another red one, 2004 with about 20k, auto., for $15,990. It's a fixed-price dealership and you can buy all kinds of cars for a little above trade-in value. Very cool to try out many cars before buying (I drove 6 different cars). I loved the Crossfire, am trying to sell my 2000 A6 2.7T with new turbos and clutch (expensive fixes). Sorry for the length, but thought you might be interested.
