Back to topic, as stated this is America and one usually can do whatever they want to their own personal belongings. We might not like it, so what!
I've got vinyl disc golf graphics on my window, that's my gig.
To resurrect an old quote ... "Can't we all just get along?" (Rodney King)
Cars are not a disgrace to this community, it is people like the one talking all the crap on this thread. I have lost respect for many people I use to look up to on this forum and am really ashamed to be a member. Those that are the haters here are the disgrace to this forum, not a personalized car. You all need to grow up, and be alittle empathetic and not so pathetic.
Personally, I do not like the riced out xfires, but that's just my personal opinion. The owner should do whatever he feels like with it.
My SRT6 is pretty much stock. The only mod I might make in the future is the sprint booster. For right now, I am happy even without the SB.
Guys, for the most part I think this is a very informative, fun and positive site. I think we should keep it that way.
Cheers.

too funny that pspureti had to make up another screen name to give HIS CAR and HIS WEBSITE compliments, get a life...don't even know what else to say... I have to say the following if anyone does not like being part of the community...LEAVE the community. no one is forcing you to stay. everyone understand HE can do with HIS car as he would like, however, if someone has pictures of their car up on the internet, it is open to scrutiny. all enthusiast forums I have been on, throw stones and those that 'rice' their cars. it may be an acceptable practice in the 'ricer' community, but don't get upset when you put every possible ricer mod on your car and people bash it.

Every automotive "ERA" had their own individual mod's that sometimes caught on, and sometimes failed miserably.
The 50's.
Wide white wall tires, lake pipes, continental kits, louvers, dual mirrors, spot lights, smitty mufflers, fender skirts, moon disc wheel covers, dumps etc.
The 60's.
With the advent of the Muscle Car came hood scoops, hood pins, mag wheels, chromed wheels, racing stripes, red line tires, wide oval tires, traction bars, ladder bars, tinted windows, solid front axles, headers, vinyl roofs.
The 70's.
Brought us Shaker hood scoops, spoilers, rear window louvers, white letter tires, outrageous decal graphics, turbo charging (that actually worked) opera windows, padded roofs.
The 80's and 90's.
Well...let's just skip the 80's and the 90's.
My point is some improvements or mods were just "fads" or trends that were popular on the West Coast, but not so much on the East Coast, or even in the Mid West. You did what you wanted to do to your own car to make it yours. How it was received at the drive-ins was usually the final litmus test. It might be a big hit, or you may get laughed at and sent on your way. Car guys have been "Raggin" on other car guys probably since the first couple Model T's hit the roads.
The only difference is now, thanks to the internet, you don't even have to take your car out on a cruise night to get a reaction. You simply post a photo on a web site, and kick back and wait for the eventual comments and opinions to start popping up.
Some people are a little more harsh than others, (because some people are a little more tactful, or polite than others) but it's just their opinions, and nobody should take it personal. It's really no different than what you would hear at any local drive-in, anywhere car enthusiasts get together.

Wow...I just got back on the forum, and frankly I'm surprised to see this thread is still going on.
What started as razz has become a full war among us. I don't think anyone here is against democracy or having the right to do as we want with our property. We all have different taste. If I can explain this from my perspective; we all love the XF, and some of us are more passionate of the car than others, so naturally when we see an extreme mod, it may stir us a bit. This is no different than your neighbor painting their house purple and orange. Although it's their house, it may bother you because it affects the image of your neighborhood. I think it's along these lines that some of us razzed this kid’s car. At the end of the day he can do what he wants. It just got out of hand. For what it's worth, if I offended anyone with my razz, I apologize. But, let’s not be so thin skinned. If you post pics on a forum, you will get some criticism. I know I'm a bit of a ball buster, and have razzed some on their avatars, but it's just that, RAZZ, but I can take it too. I think as long as you use the razz smiley you're OK.
Let’s all hold hands, and sing kumbaya
(not sure of the spelling).

When I started this thread I expected maybe 2 pages and then it would die like the rest. It was fun and a lil humorous to see the reactions. Some dislike the way the car looks, but don't want to hurt the kids feelings so instead they throw their criticism towards the more vocal. Then psuperti creates an alter ego by the name of Fast&Furious Girl, which kind of reminds me of the latest episode of The Office when Michael becomes Prison Mike and decides to try to insult me with my name Thirteen Weenie Dog and I must now insert a picture of my dog.

Bottom line you posted a photo of your car and I gave my honest opinion. Don't take is so personal, its just an opinion. By the way I am still laughing over the alter ego thing especially when you said we were childish. Oh and for FPMartinez.
I agree I should have included the smiley.
LOL.

This is totally off subject, but HDDP's post got me to thinking.
Derek, since you race your Crossfire, and it's no longer "street legal", I was just wondering what your "everyday" ride is?

Life is too short. Enjoy what we all have (which, I hope is much more than a car). And, however you decide to personalize your Crossfire, enjoy the journey.

You are like a bunch of bullies on the play yard, all ganging up on someone who has done nothing wrong. You should go back and read all your post in this thread, we are suppose to be here to support and help each other, not tear apart another member. After reading this thread I am actually pissed and please no comments like "we were just joking, can't you take a joke". Because one post is a joke, here we have over a dozen. And if was a joke it is not funny, it is just rude.
