Default What Wiper Blades Do You Have...?

I recently installed these Bosch wiper blades on my Crossfire and I can tell you they work like a dream. They stay in contact with the windshield the entire time... (mostly the bottom of the windshield on the passenger side) plus the fact they look sleeker. Can anyone say more HP.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a type of washer fluid that gets the bugs of better... I'm thinking of Mr. Clean. Andrew fell free to chime in.

~ i just use the normal blue washer fluid.

others (including my father) have used "prestone" bug & (spot ) washer fluid and it stains the paint on your car. stay clear of this stuff.

i have heard many good things about p21s booster: http://www.autogeek.net/p2winwasboos.html

Where did you buy those wiper blades? They are the german sport wiper blades similar to those that come on audis. I really like those.

I first saw them on all the new Mercedes models... you can get them at Advanced Auto/Pep Boys or most other auto parts stores. I believe there about $15 a piece.

I went to Pepboys today and bought those wiper blades. They are called Bosch ICON blades. Very nice looking on the car! Cost: $42 for the pair.

Are they generic, one size fits all (20" driver/21" passenger) or is there a part number? Thanks.

The Bosch book actually lists a 20" for the driver side (part # 420A) and a 22" for the passenger side (part # 422B). The 22" is only a tiny bit longer than the factory one and it fits fine.

I bought a set of the Trico Innovisions, which are similar to the Bosh units. I have been very happy with them. Plus, they look much better than the fugly stock units! I got them from my local NAPA dealer pretty cheap.

They sure beat the factory installed blades, thats for sure. I've had them on my car for more then 3 months and in the hot sun, they don't dry out or crack like the others. Now granted, they are a little plain looking compared to the style that came on the car, but they work great! They mold to the windshield perfectly and they work awesome in heavy rainfall and in windy conditions. Worth every cent!!

Hi,

I've just brought a set of Bosch blades here in the UK. These are not the blades wanted so will be taking them back BUT my question is that these seem only to push on with no clips. With these Bosch Icon blades mentioned do they fit easily?

Cheers

Mark

The ICON blades fit great. They have a cap that hinges back and you insert the wiper arm through it and attach it to the clip on the wiper...then close the cap and everything is covered.

What is the spoiler for on standard blades and which side should they be on. I've just brought a pair of Bosch Super Plus blades and the spoiler is on the 22" blade which is the passenger side. Have I got it wrong again and need the spoiler on the 20" blade?

SORRY FOR BEING A PAIN IN THE BUTT.

The OEM blades have the spoiler on the driver's side. I recently swapped to some Bosch 'Spoiler' blades so now have the spoiler on both sides. They are there to prevent them lifting at high speed. They seem to work really well and cured the squeak from the old ones.

I just put on a set of Bosch Icon blades and everyone is right they really do look like they're made for the Crossfire. The clip that they have to hide the wiper connection even has a "Deco" look to it. Thanks for the tips.

I had the refill from BMW as andrew mentioned in his earlier thread. Since I applied RainX on the windsheld, so I'm happy with it.
