Talking Santa's been very good to me

I just traded my '04 XF for a new '06 Vette. The salesman was so taken with my XF he gave me the impression that he might buy it. The XF was perfect inside and out. I was even complimented by the person that test drove it. I got $1,500 more for it than I expected. It pays to detail your car before you talk trade.

I really liked my XF but I was just worried something was going to break on it that would cost me a fortune or run into one of the many problems that other members have had.

I wish all of you the best and safe driving. I suspect I will check back here on occasion but eventually I will be gone.

Merry Christmas and happy new year!

Wayne, anybody who has a C4 Vette for their avatar on a Crossfire website, "needs" a new Vette. LOL. Congratulations on the new arrival, just in time for Christmas.
There has been a ton of articles about how good that car is, and since you're so into Vettes to start with, it sounds like it was inevitable. So what model did you wind up with, Z06, roadster, or coupe? What color? What tranny? Don't sign off and just leave us all hanging. Besides, there are probably a few SRT owners that will be gunnin for ya, so they will need an accurate description of your new ride.
I hope you and your family have a great Christmas, and a very happy and healthy New Year. Take Care.

Congratulations Wayne! Nothing like a Vette... Especially a ZO6.

Excuse me, I have to talk to Santa...

Enjoy the vette, make sure your new vette is not listed for the roof separation recall
there was a glue problem and the skin can come off at speed.
Seriously.

It's a red coupe automatic. Not many options. Wife likes the ride of the XF better. The Vette certainly has a stiff firm ride. Gas mileage is about the same. Much more room in the Vette. I'll miss the heated seats!

It's been a real problem. Over 400 of them have come off and of course GM is slow to respond. I can't tell whether or not mine has been repaired of replaced. I guess I'll just have the dealer look at it.

Thanks.
