Default SRT-6 Bumper on a Limited Coupe

Hey all, just curious to know if the SRT-6 bumper would fit an '04 Limited Coupe. Reason why I'm asking is my dad backed his truck into my car this morning and the tow hitch cracked the bumper pretty bad and I'm going to need to get a new one. Thankfully the bumper was the only thing hit.

I like the way the SRT-6 bumper looks and if I can get one I would like to put it on.

Cool thanks. I actually saw a picture in the Gallery where someone put it on and yeah I noticed that the SRT-6 bumper is about $100 less than the standard.

Here's the damage, not too bad but if I can get a free bumper out of it, I'm happy but my dad obviously isn't.

Also, I can't seem to find the color code for it, btu I googled it up to see it's 591/3591/ARH. Now is this what I'm going to need to give to a paint shop for them to match it? I'm pretty sure it is, I'm just double checking.

Yeah but for '04 it's Blaze Red and I searched and saw people with the same confusion as to which it really is and is there a difference in color. I got the ARH from a touch up paint site that labels it Blaze Red and the Sherwin site has PRH and says it's Inferno Red.

Let the shop worry about the color match. If you give them a specific number, and it doesn’t match to your liking, they will say they did what you wanted.

Just don't mount the plate off to the side if your state requires one...

the side plate looks pretty sweet but the State of Florida doesn't require a front plate which IMO is worthless since a cop typically is going to be behind you if they need the plate, unless you all have some major traffic cameras around.

I might just tell them it's Blaze Red Pearl and hopefully they get the paint from Chrysler or call them up to double check. If they ask for the code then I'll give them the 591,ARH since that's for Blaze Red and PRH was for Inferno (it might not even matter).

Why not? I think it looks much better than a centered plate IMO...

I guess for the opposite reason you like it. IMO it just looks butt ugly. It's off
center and does not mesh well in that location. The attachment in your post
showing the plate at that angle makes it look even worse than the original post.
It looks like an after thought and just tacked on the bumper.

But, each to their own... if you like the look, go for it.

The main reason for it being of center is that the bracket holding the plate on is bolted on underneath the bumper... so that when I go to take it off (for shows, etc.) I don't have any holes.

All,

I am moving from Florida to Maryland this summer. Does anyone know if Maryland requires a front plate? If so, I may have to hit up ben47 for instructions on how he mounted his. I will not put holes in the bumper for a license plate.

Kevin

BTW does anyone have a house for rent in the Crofton area?

LOL to people who actually follow the front bumper rule. No cop will ever pull you over for that and if they do you can always talk your way out of it. I live in CT and we require the plate but I have NEVER used it and in 24 years of driving on these roads I got pulled over once. And i talked my way out of that.

Break the rules thats why they are there.

Alright well the SRT-6 bumper is on order and the guy said he'll be shipping it out next Wednesday, so I should have it in a few weeks and I'll post my progress of installing it myself.

Mayaman, I appreciate your thoughts about the front plate (I hate them too) and the general rebellious attitude, but as my bud 04fire said, it's required here in MD and it's enforced, you won't get a ticket right away, but you will be required to show up with the plate attached within a certain number of days. If you want to play this dance with the MD police that's fine, but it's just not worth my time. I just wish they'd do away with the front plates altogether or go to the Euro style thinner/longer plates.

But back to the original question...Gator, 04fire has the SRT front bumper on his XF and it really looks great...I'm thinking of doing the same for my Limited.
