Default Weigh Your Car Please !

Would someone who owns a Limited Coupe, 6 speed be kind enough to go weigh their car at a CAT Scales or some other scales for me... It would be great if you could do it with a full tank of gas...

I'll reimburse you the $9 that it costs to weigh the car...

I was going to get mine weighed at some point as benchmark, which I guess is why you want the figures too, before I start some weight saving mods, so I might as well do it now if it will help. I'll see if I can get it done tomorrow.

Thanks Woody... It would help immensely... I never got a baseline weight on my car and my sanctioning body NASA has the car listed as 2,970 lbs wet curb weight, but everything I have seen lists the car at 1,388 kg or ranging from 3,010 to 3,060 lbs.

I have to get the correct OEM weight so I can verify my weight reduction for classing purposes. I might still be in TTD if my weight reduction points stay low..

I weighed my car yesterday for the first time since the roll cage was installed last year and the additional weight reduction was completed last week. My weight with full tank, driver and gear (what NASA requires) is 2,720 lbs. The last time I weighed the car was before the cage was installed and it weighed (1/3rd tank, no driver) 2,640 lbs.

This puts my car at (-170 lb driver / -130 lbs fuel / -10 lbs driving gear) at 2,410 lbs.

So I have to base the weight on 2,720 (driver, gear, full tank)...

I got the car weighed this lunchtime. It came in at 1,400 kg (3,084 pounds). That is a Limited Coupe 6 Speed (No driver, full tank of fuel - 30 miles, fogs removed, 1.5 kg fire extinguisher, full washer bottle, 2 kg of tools)

Looks like mine needs to go on a diet!

It was raining, so it was clean but wet! Perhaps there was a KG or two of water on it.

LOL. I think you might be on to something there because it's definitely getting enough exercise.
