Default Air Filter Box Screws

Has anyone replaced their air filter box screws with chrome or stainless one's? If so where did you get them?

What screws do you mean... the ones underneath the filter box holding the filters in.

The one's that goes through the top of the filter box into the bottom, the one's you have to remove to change the air filters.

Can you post a pic of the screws you are talking about. The only screws I had to remove to change my filters are under the cover and can not be seen when the cover is installed.

The screws are a torx head 'plastite' type, designed to form their own threads in the plastic. You should be able to get alternatives from a fastener supplier.

I had removed both top filter covers so I could take them in the house where it was warm so I could mount big Renntech badges on them. And I thought while they were off I'd see if I could find chrome or stainless to replace them. I done a search yesterday on the internet, but came up with nothing, I'll probably try some more today. I did find a cheap place to get K&N filters for the SRT6, ($69 delivered).

Oops sorry, just noticed that you are talking about the SRT! I was describing the screws that hold the filter housings to the plastic engine cover on the N/A cars...

Autopartswarehouse.com, that's a pretty good price for SRT6 filters shipped to your door.
