Headlamp cover issues?
I noticed inside the headlight cover that there seems to be some... fogging for lack of better words, but no moisture inside...
Perhaps it is head fatigue...
Also, in one, there are actually cobwebs! lol.
Anyways, is this a warrenty issue or can I easily remove the headlight cover and clean the inside?
Thanks.

EM... I had this same issue when I first bought my Xfire - A copy of my experience follows... Still no haze!!! Hope this helps... If you're ever near Oak Ridge look me up...

With everyone's indulgence, I am duplicating my post about hazy (foggy) headlight covers here, too: Over the past few weeks, I had decided that I must have moisture inside of my headlight covers (a coupe of TSBs exist identifying this problem) - the haze didn't seem to wash off and just seemed to be getting worse. When I wet the headlight lenses, the haze would briefly disappear and - yes - that would seem to indicate that the problem was on the exterior of the light assembly. Nonetheless, boy genius persisted in his belief that it was moisture inside of the lens and was trying to figure out how to get the thing into the dealer (dreaded to do it as I'm always afraid problems will be worse after a trip into people who don't care as much about my cars as I do). Anyway, I absentmindedly started rubbing on a corner of the lens with a wet finger and - lo-and-behold! - the haze was gone!?! ...And stayed gone the entire day! Because of this, I got my bottle of 3M Plastic Cleaner (#39017) and proceeded to clean the headlight lenses. The result? ...absolutely clear, clean and pristine lenses!!!...and they've been that way for several days now, in spite of rain, heat and sunlight!
Bottom line? Before trotting off to the dealer for repair of this problem under a TSB, try polishing the headlight lenses with an appropriate plastic polish (3M's products have been great - I also use gallons of their Perfect-It Gloss Enhancer #39034 which is the best detail spray I've used to date).

Mine seem to be doing the same. When it gets wet when washing the car the fogginess goes away but when it's dry it comes back.
Damn, I was just at the auto place today but obviously wasn't looking for it. Do they have it there or where can I get it.

Use the 3M product if its not a moisture issue as you say, the 3M will correct it. Its only $8.95 a bottle and available on their website.

Mine were covered under warranty so I would imagine your would be if your car is still under warranty. The headlight is all one unit you can't remove the cover.
My light covers have not "hazed" since cleaning them over a year and a half ago. I also put 3M clear lens protectors on the lights at that time - a full, pre-cut set is available through Griot's Garage... I am very averse to trips in for "warranty", as my experience is that something gets screwed up in such visits... Every car I've ever owned has been that way... Like I tell my patients: "Stay away from doctors!"

I have an appointment for one of the stereo buttons and a cupholder. I'll add my headlamps to the list.

Fred Frederick Chrysler in Laurel, Md. I've purchased my last 2 cars from them and they have always treated me good. They have fixed my headlight twice, once for condensation vent kit and last time for the hazing of the lenses. Transmission leak and some body work from some scratches here and there and they always washed and vacuumed my car when they finished their work. Never any problems.
I just got some of the 3M plastic cleaner/polish and it worked wonders. I tried using one of those headlamp restoring kits but that screwed it up cause you had to sand it down and such and though the yellowing was gone the headlight was cloudy from the high grit paper.
Anyway, I wasn't pleased but I was waiting for the 3M stuff to arrive, well it did today and I applied it to the headlight and worked it in really good and it took away all the scuffs from the sandpaper and it looks brand spanking new. It looked so good that I had to use the cleaner and polish on the other headlamp because it looked like junk compared to the reworked one.

I bought some Meguiar's Plastx (clear plastic restorer) today. Meguiar's stuff works really well from my experiences. Once I use it I'll post the results.

I purchased it at Autozone.
I used the PastX on mine but still had to apply it to the headlight covers about once a month so I took my car to the dealership to show them, replaced under warranty.
What is the 'updated vent covers'? I'll have to bring this up to my dealer.
They basically told me that my hazing issue and spider webs are due to design issues. There is nothing to fix.
